Ce coffret Super Deluxe 6CD+3 Blu-rays "The Definitive 24 Nights" est l'édition enrichie de l'album Live "24 Nights", qu'Eric Clapton publia en 1991 pour célébrer son record de concerts consécutifs au Royal Albert Hall de Londres. Ce coffret propose près de 6 heures de musique Live enregistrée en 1990 et 1991, dont 35 performances inédites. Ces enregistrements ont été soigneusement restaurés pour créer des concerts complets portant chacun sur un genre différent : Rock, Blues et orchestral. Les 3 Blu-rays sont les pendants vidéo des trois genres précités. Présents aussi dans ce coffret un livre relié et une lithographie numérotée présentant une photo d'Eric Clapton prise par Carl Studna. Eric Clapton s'était entouré de musiciens exceptionnels pour ces concerts : Jonnie Johnson, Jimmie Vaughan, Chuck Leavell, Phil Collins, Robert Cray, Buddy Guy, Albert Collins, Nathan East, Greg Phillinganes, Steve Ferrone, Ray Cooper et Jerry Portnoy.Inclus sur le concert Rock les classiques Sunshine Of Your Love, Can't Find My Way Home, Layla et Wonderful Tonight, ainsi quune reprise de Crossroads et une version reggae de Knockin' On Heaven's Door avec Phil Collins à la batterie.Sur le concert Blues figurent notamment les standards Key To The Highway, Sweet Home Chicago, Black Cat Bone et Reconsider Baby.Enfin sur le concert orchestral, auquel participait le National Philharmonic Orchestra dirigé par Michael Kamen, de splendides versions de Layla, White Room, Bell Bottom Blues, I Shot The Sheriff, Lay Down Sally et un morceau épique de 30 minutes, Concerto For Guitar.
