Grâce à sa voix acidulée, aux allures enfantines, à mille lieues des standards des « jazz divas » de son époque, Blossom Dearie a inspiré des générations de chanteurs. Pianiste classique de formation, c’est par la France que sa carrière débute véritablement, grâce à Eddie Barclay qui la fait venir à Paris, puis à Norman Granz, qui va lui donner une dimension internationale en la faisant entrer sur son label Verve. Cette anthologie 3 CD dirigée par Olivier Julien met en lumière le fabuleux répertoire de cette pianiste chanteuse à l’élégance rare et éternelle.
