Après un concert événement à Antibes Juan-les-Pins en juillet 1961, Ray Charles revient en France, cette fois ci à Paris, pour une série de concerts mémorables en octobre 1961. Ce coffret, réalisé par Joël Dufour, spécialiste mondial de Brother Ray, a une valeur essentielle et historique. En effet, il regroupe les seules performances live de Ray Charles où il troque son piano pour l’orgue Hammond.
